We Pay 26% More for Health Care Than the Rest of the Country

On average, California employers spend 26% more on health care premiums than the rest of the country.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average monthly premium for single coverage in the United States in 2018 was $574. The California Health Care Foundation reported that the average premium for single coverage was $726 for the same year.

The good news? This can be fixed. When simple supply chain management principals are applied to this expense, employers see a cost reduction that can put them well below the national average.
